Music has always been my way of touching something beyond myself. I did not know, at the time, that it would become my doorway into shamanism.

I watched it work quietly in my own family. We gathered on Sundays and felt more alive together through song. At funerals we sang and in doing so gave ourselves permission to feel the full weight of grief. Music held us when words could not.

Only later did I understand what was really happening. Music allowed us to stay connected to our emotions and through that, to spirit.

I sometimes see a misunderstanding in certain new age spaces where emotions are treated as something to rise above or leave behind. With age, I have come to see the opposite. When emotions are honestly felt, without drowning in them or suppressing them, they become fuel. They keep us in relationship with the world rather than separate from it.

Shamanism helped me understand how music and emotion can be channelled with intelligence and care. Not as indulgence, but as a way of shaping a new path for ourselves and for others.

I’ve been reflecting this month and I’m really grateful for how well my Shamanic Healing has gone this year.

Not only has it brought me abundance (in more ways than one) but it has supported so many people on their journey.

Being able to share life changing experiences for others is a very beautiful thing. It constantly reminds me of what I know is possible in this life and I thank God for that.

Stepping into your purpose and owning your abilities can feel uncomfortable because it changes how others see you. I have noticed that when I take up my full space, my light can make some people uneasy.

But this path has helped me see who is truly meant to be close. The ones who want you to grow and be your whole self are the ones worth giving your time to.

The beautiful thing about the native flute is how its simplicity opens the door to real transformation. At first the instrument feels gentle and approachable, but once a few core techniques settle into your hands and breath, everything begins to shift. What starts as basic melodies suddenly gains texture, emotion and depth.

With a little time, steady practice and a willingness to learn some techniques from a sufficient teacher, you move naturally from beginner to intermediate, and eventually into a place that feels almost professional.

Not because it is complicated, but because the flute rewards presence, patience and touch.

I feel like it’s time for my yearly Lord of the Rings rewatch.

There is something about it that just feels like coming home.

Those stories have shaped film and literature in a way few others have.

They keep offering a sense of hope, wonder, adventure and a knowing that the good acts are important no matter how big or small they may seem.

I feel that a lot times healing is in done in and through relationship. Relationship to others and ultimately relationship to yourself.

Big emotional releases can look powerful, but they are can sometimes be overwhelming. Healing does not come from pouring everything out. It comes from learning to truly inhabit yourself. Your wounds do not need intensity. They need presence.

Those dramatic moments can feel meaningful, yet they do not always create real change. They can overstimulate you, push you into collapse, and leave the old body memories exactly where they were. This is why someone can spend years doing “the work,” collecting cathartic experiences, feeling different for a moment, but still living with the same freeze or flight patterns. On the outside it looks committed. On the inside it can be dissociated. Not because they failed, but because no one taught them the part of healing that actually rewires a system, building capacity, moving in the right sequence, attuning to what is happening, and completing the unfinished responses in the body.

The deepest healing is not loud. It is steady. It is relational. It is lived through the whole system. And when the body, emotions, relationships, and development finally line up, life no longer feels like constant survival.

Yet the thread that ties us to our ancestors has never been fully severed. It lives in what we choose to do. Our thoughts guide us, but it is our actions that root us in the material world and give shape to our connection with those who came before us.

If we want to understand our ancestors, we can begin by doing the things they once did. Their lives were expressed through the skills they learned, the celebrations they held, the crafts they mastered, and the ways they related to the land and to each other. Maybe your ancestors wove, cooked over open fires, sang folk songs, tended the soil, or gathered for yearly rites that carried meaning deeper than words. When we take part in these same practices, even in small ways, we start to sense what shaped them and, in turn, what shapes us.

Our ancestors’ actions helped bring us into being, and our actions will one day shape the lives of those who follow after us. By reclaiming the things they made, celebrated, and lived through, we begin to understand not only where we come from, but also where we are going.

Because playing in sacred buildings brings a quiet power to music and gatherings. The sound seems to travel differently, almost as if the walls hold an old understanding that listens and answers. Even the softest notes feel fuller, and the whole moment carries a weight that is hard to explain but easy to feel.

There is a sense of calm that settles over everyone inside these places. People breathe a little slower, pay attention a little more, and allow themselves to sink into the experience. It is as if the building invites you to pause and remember why you are there.

Events held in these spaces often leave a stronger impression. Long after the final sound fades, something lingers. A kind of warmth that stays with you, reminding you that certain places can shape a moment in ways nothing else can.

What a joy it is to witness and take part in a movement rooted in genuine loving consciousness. This is the kind of medicine the world needs, a shift that makes it natural and even admirable to live with love and to openly honour the divine.

Remembering our shared unity is essential. We have spent too long emphasising separation, and no fear based narrative can undo the truth that we are one. Integration takes time, but persistence and love always prevail.

London carries many layers of energy, and the sheer number of warm, multicultural connections I experienced that day was uplifting. Travelling to different countries has only deepened my appreciation for home, because London holds an extraordinary mix of cultures, colours, and stories. It is a beautiful reminder of what diversity can look like when it is lived fully.

It is easy to judge others, yet the old teaching still stands. When we point a finger at someone else, there are three pointing back at us.

Creating from sincerity, kindness, and love is what this world needs now. Not more division.

It’s a deep deep honour to share my service to the world with these beauitful people.

We often hear about the highs of performing, the exhilarating moments that look flawless from the outside. What we rarely speak about are the quieter realities that follow.

After standing in front of thousands of people, riding that wave of sound and energy, you come home to four still walls. The contrast can feel surreal. You go from overwhelming stimulation and huge dopamine spikes to sudden silence, and the comedown can be disorientating.

It is not that the experience isn’t incredible. It absolutely is. These moments on stage are some of the most powerful of my life. But “normal” shifts after you taste that level of intensity. You feel the need for stability and human connection, yet a part of you longs to be back out there, expanded, stretched open by that feeling only performing gives. Especially with how spirituality expanded the types of ceremonies I’ve experienced are.

As Einstein said, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The thrill has a shadow, and both are part of the same truth. I fully understand why some artists struggle to reintegrate after peak experiences. I have a deeper sympathy for anyone whose path is shaped by these extremes.

This isn’t a complaint, just a clarification. Social media often sells us perfection and leaves us feeling inadequate or hungry for more. Life isn’t meant to be perfect. It is meant to be real. And its messiness carries its own kind of beauty once we allow ourselves to see it.

I love this life, I love my family, and I look forward to surrendering more fully to whatever comes next.

Today’s our last show of this year.

It’s an interesting mix between happiness and slight sadness. Happiness I get to be fully present with my family and get into a good routine for winter.

Sadness that we’ve fully got into a deep flow of the set and the experience of being on tour, for it to stop.

But still what a way to close this chapter hey? A fully sold out 2000 person show on the home soil of London!

Very grateful we finish this way and so proud of what we’ve all achieved! Look forward to meeting you all before I go into my hibernation for the winter.

Music is healing

Since childhood, music has been a constant in my life. Some of my earliest memories are of watching my parents, my uncle, and my grandad play together in their band at the Rising Sun or my mum and cousins busking on the street, creating noise, laughter, and pulling in a crowd.

Growing up around that energy shaped the way I came to understand music. I did not recognise it at the time, but that easy, playful relationship with sound was healing all of us.

Singing together, playing together, and losing ourselves in the moment helped us step out of stress and remember how connected we really were.

So when I eventually found my way into sound work and medicine music, it felt natural. I had already been leaning toward it without realising, drawn to instruments from different cultures because something in me wanted to explore more.

Looking back, I am deeply grateful that I trusted my instincts. If I had not allowed myself to pick up whatever instrument spoke to me, I would not be standing where I am now, sharing my work with others.

Trust your intuition. It often sees the path long before you do.

Growing up around that energy shaped the way I came to understand music. I did not recognise it at the time, but that easy, playful relationship with sound was healing all of us.

Singing together, playing together, and losing ourselves in the moment helped us step out of stress and remember how connected we really were.

So when I eventually found my way into sound work and medicine music, it felt natural. I had already been leaning toward it without realising, drawn to instruments from different cultures because something in me wanted to explore more.

Looking back, I am deeply grateful that I trusted my instincts. If I had not allowed myself to pick up whatever instrument spoke to me, I would not be standing where I am now, sharing my work with others.

Trust your intuition. It often sees the path long before you do.

Before working with @chantressseba I hardly played my Irish flute, but it turned out to blend beautifully with the music. Now it has become the instrument I reach for most, and it feels like a real honour to share its old folk wisdom.

When I play it, I feel the land I come from and the lands my ancestors walked. I give thanks to them each time before I play online, and in doing so I can feel their presence more clearly. Their strength, their humour, their guidance.

It feels like a privilege to connect to my people through sound, and I am excited to bring in more African instruments so I can weave in the spirit of the motherland as well.

Oshun is the Orisha (Yoruba Goddess) of the river, of love, purity, beauty, femininity, fertility, and the sweet waters that sustain life itself.

She moves like sunlight dancing upon flowing water, gentle and graceful, yet carrying immense power beneath her calm surface. When you feel her presence, she speaks to you of self-worth and reminds you of the sacredness that lives in your softness and your emotions.

When you are drawn to beauty, music, laughter, or tenderness, it is Oshun calling you to remember that these are not diversions from the spiritual path but invitations deeper into it.

Her message to us is that joy and pleasure, the sweetness of life are sacred offerings, that creation and compassion flow from the same source, and that your capacity to give and receive love is your divine birthright.

Walking around Amsterdam soft canals I really felt a beauitful connection with this spirit these last few days.

The more we grasp for enlightenment, the further it is away from us.

Through my experience of spirituality, especially within the world of social media, but in many other places too. I have come to see a troubling pattern.

Many present themselves as enlgihtened figures, inviting others to follow them and often turning pain and confusion into profit. It preys not only on those who are suffering, but also on those who are still learning how to discern truth from illusion. This is what I call spiritual narcissism, and it is deeply harmful.

In a culture built on individualism and capitalism, the ability to make others feel seen, hopeful, and connected to something greater is rare. Yet just because someone can evoke that feeling does not mean you should follow them. Our society’s hunger for genuine spiritual connection has left many vulnerable.

I have heard countless stories, particularly from women, about being drawn in by such figures. People who speak of light yet act from shadow.

My hope is that we each grow closer to our own inner compass, learning to trust the wisdom that already lives within us. Guidance and support are important, but never at the cost of our discernment. If something feels off, speak about it. A person’s reaction to honesty will tell you much about their character.

This is why I say my path isn’t to attain enlightenment. I know I carry beauty and insight, and I share it with others often. But I am also human, filled with both light and dark, consciousness and unconsciousness. And the truth is, so is everyone.

Growth is not only about ascension but also about descension. It is about intergrating what we have learned back into the body and the everyday world, grounding our insights into our lived reality.

For me, it begins with recognising that humans are, by nature, worshipping creatures. If we do not consciously choose what we give our reverence to, we will inevitably bow before something unconsciously. You can see this truth reflected in modern life. Many people are bent over glowing screens, hands clasped around their devices, eyes downcast in silent devotion to the digital altar.

I prefer to turn my worship toward the things that bring peace, strength, and protection. The act of conscious worship is not about kneeling before something external, but about choosing what energies we align with and invite into our lives. It is about cultivating reverence for what sustains us rather than what drains us.

When I journey with my clients, we often discover an animal ally that steps forward to offer guidance and support. This spirit helper becomes a bridge between the seen and unseen worlds, a symbol of protection and companionship. It serves as a reminder that we are never truly alone, and that the natural world is constantly communicating with us if we learn to listen.

The helper does not always appear as something fierce or majestic. Sometimes it is subtle and soft, like a white moth gliding through the night. The moth teaches that gentleness can carry great strength, and that light is not always found in brightness but often in the quiet glow that guides us through the dark.

Becoming

When we are children we act from instinct. We move toward what feels alive in us without question or doubt. For me, that aliveness was the call to be a medicine man, a man who works with sound, ceremony, and spirit to shift consciousness. I would spend hours reading about shamanism and indigenous traditions, searching for ways to understand the deeper structure of reality and our place within it.

Music became my compass. It started with drums and percussion, then I found myself drawn to native instruments. When I heard their sound, something deep within me moved, as if a long lost echo of my soul was being called back home.

I didn’t know how to walk the path of shamanism at first, but my lineage quietly held its own ceremonial roots. My family would gather at a small shack on the Devonshire coastline we called “The Hut”. There we would sit in circle, share plant medicines, and communicate through music and presence rather than words. During my first journey in that space, I felt it, home. A deep remembering of what I was here to do.

Still, doubt came. I chose the safer road and trained as a chef. However, I could always hear the soft whisper of my true purpose, asking me to return.

When I finally listened and stepped fully into the work that called me, life opened. The right people appeared. The tools, the teachings, the opportunities, all aligned effortlessly.

Today I stand before you changed, grounded in what I came here to do.

I would spend hours reading about shamanism and indigenous traditions, searching for ways to understand the deeper structure of reality and our place within it.

Music became my compass. It started with drums and percussion, then I found myself drawn to native instruments. When I heard their sound, something deep within me moved, as if a long lost echo of my soul was being called back home.

I didn’t know how to walk the path of shamanism at first, but my lineage quietly held its own ceremonial roots. My family would gather at a small shack on the Devonshire coastline we called “The Hut”. There we would sit in circle, share plant medicines, and communicate through music and presence rather than words. During my first journey in that space, I felt it, home. A deep remembering of what I was here to do.

Still, doubt came. I chose the safer road and trained as a chef. However, I could always hear the soft whisper of my true purpose, asking me to return.

When I finally listened and stepped fully into the work that called me, life opened. The right people appeared. The tools, the teachings, the opportunities, all aligned effortlessly.

Today I stand before you changed, grounded in what I came here to do.

Taking Up Room

In this life, finding a true sense of self can feel like walking through fog.

The initiations our modern world offers are rarely conscious. They often arrive through chaos, heartbreak, or hangovers, leaving us more disoriented than transformed.

Amid the endless sea of social media and self-promotion, the question becomes. How do we remember who we really are?

We do it by daring to take up space, by stretching the edges of what feels safe to share until we discover the shape of our own truth.

When others criticise or misunderstand your creative expression, listen if there’s wisdom in it, but do not shrink. True art, true voice, true expression are meant to unsettle.

They wake the sleeping parts of the world.

You are the medicine you’ve been searching for.

Logic and intuition.

Logic allows us to navigate the physical world, but it cannot reach beyond this.

We exercise logic daily, yet to truly grasp the totality of reality, we must also cultivate our intuition.

This is the quiet knowing that bridges us to the deeper dimensions of existence.

Without it we will always be reaching for the dust of time as it slips through our fingers, hoping that the wind will forget to blow.
